What is the Cornea?

The cornea is the clear, dome-shaped window of the front of the eye. It plays an essential role in focusing light as it enters the eye. Anything that impacts or damages the clarity and uniform curvature of the cornea may prevent light from properly focusing, resulting in decreased vision or even blindness. Damage to the cornea can also result in surface irregularity that can cause discomfort and pain.
