Dr. Annie McLean is a board-certified, residency-trained optometrist, with an interest in primary care and ocular disease.

She received her B.A. in Biochemistry at Kansas State University within 3 years, graduating magna cum laude in 2018. Annie McLean went on to earn her doctorate in optometry as valedictorian at the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. Afterwards, she chased the mountains to complete her residency in primary care and ocular disease at Kaiser Permanente in Tacoma, Washington. She stayed on as a clinician, thoroughly enjoying interactions with new residents, peers, and co-managing providers across the healthcare spectrum. She is looking forward to joining a delightful new community at Cascade Eye and Skin.

Dr. McLean is committed to empathetic interactions and is passionate about de-mystifying healthcare. She loves working with other providers to continuously learn and provide the best care for patients.

She keeps herself grounded with plenty of treks into the wilderness each weekend, finding great joy in nature. She also enjoys creating art, reading, and sipping tea with her two cats at home.
