Board-certified dermatologist Maureen Mooney is a highly respected member of her field who specializes in Mohs micrographic surgery. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and many other dermatologic societies.
Dr. Mooney earned both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Minnesota with honors. After receiving her medical degree, she went on to complete her residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Following that, she spent several years in private practice in New York and New Jersey before entering a cosmetic fellowship and completing a dermatopathology fellowship. As a capstone, she also went on to complete a prestigious Mohs micrographic fellowship. Consequently, she is board certified across three specialties: dermatology, dermatopathology, and Mohs micrographic surgery.
Dr. Mooney has been with Cascade Eye & Skin Centers since August of 2000 and enjoys working with the Mohs team to provide the best possible care for her patients. Through her dedication to her patients and field, Dr. Mooney has helped countless people return to their lives healthier and happier. She aims to remove skin cancers with the highest possible cure rate and the least invasive procedure. As a result, her patients have given her the highest reviews.
When Dr. Mooney isn’t in the office trying to make a difference in her community and patients’ lives, she can be found spending time with her two sets of twins. As a mother of four, she enjoys spending time with her daughters and husband exploring the beauty of the northwest. She is an avid runner and hiker and loves spending time with her children and many pet family members.
