Career History:

  • Served as Director of the Glaucoma Service – Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC).
  • Managed Surgical Glaucoma from the American Lake Veterans Administration facility.
  • Previous Director of the Cataract Surgery Service, and Managed the Optics/Refraction Curriculum, while on staff at MAMC.
  • Dr. Brady served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington, School of Medicine from 2008 to 2015.
  • He has been teacher of the year at both the University of Washington, School of Medicine, as well as at Madigan.

Education & Training

Bachelor’s Degree: BS Physical Science, United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD

Medical Degree: College of Osteopathic Medicine, University of New England, Biddeford, ME

  • In 1998, he graduated second in his class.

Internship & Residency:

  • His wealth of experience and expertise stems from an arduous and selective internship and residency at the nation’s top rated hospital in the Department of Defense where his knowledge was rated in the top 5% of his peers, as well as years of service in at least 8 countries around the world – learning, teaching and performing thousands of surgeries.

Trainings:

  • After two successful years as Chief of Ophthalmology, He was hand selected for research and focused training in Glaucoma which was performed in Seattle, WA.

  • French language fluency.
  • Author or co-author of numerous scientific papers on refractive surgery and other topics.
  • Earned 3 Varsity letters during 4 years of Division I college football at Annapolis.
  • A top 5 state ranking and top 10 national ranking in Cat 1 Masters cross country mountain biking championship.

Dr. Brady’s greatest joy and achievement is keeping up with his wife and three children, with whom he shares his zest for life, love, and learning.
